Phronetic AI is an AI Research and Development company creating context-aware, ethical, and scalable agentic systems. We have built India’s first full-stack, locally deployable Agentic AI platform that pioneers autonomous agents capable of perceiving, reasoning, and acting across both physical and digital domains.
A subsidiary of Avenues AI, we combine deep AI expertise with a legacy of building and operating national-scale digital platforms such as CCAvenue, Rediff.com, and Government e-Marketplace (GeM).

Engineering
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and scaling robust backend systems that power our cutting-edge AI solutions. Research
We are looking for Machine Learning Scientists with deep expertise in multimodal understanding and reasoning—spanning text, images, video, and structured documents. The role involves working across modalities to tackle problems such as cross-modal grounding, instruction-following, retrieval-augmented generation, and spatiotemporal activity recognition.
Candidates should be skilled in designing novel training objectives, fine-tuning vision-language models, and evaluating reasoning capabilities in real-world settings. Experience in multimodal fine-tuning and reasoning is highly valued, particularly in the context of building agentic AI systems that can perceive, interpret, and act on complex multimodal inputs.
Hiring Process
We evaluate candidates primarily through practical, real-world problem solving rather than resumes alone. As part of our hiring process, applicants are required to complete a short Vision-Language Model (VLM) challenge designed to assess multimodal reasoning and applied ML skills.
